Mendy agrees personal terms with Leicester
Leicester City are closing in on their second signing of the summer transfer window with OGC Nice midfielder Nampalys Mendy agreeing personal terms with the club, according to Get France Football News.
The Foxes are yet to agree a fee with the French side, who are demanding €16 million for the 23-year-old.
Mendy spent three seasons at Monaco, winning the Ligue 2 title under current Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri.
The Frenchman has attracted strong interest from fellow Premier League clubs Sunderland and West Ham, but Mendy is keen on teaming up with Ranieri once again.
N’Golo Kante is likely to leave the club in the summer thus Mendy is seen as a like-for-like replacement.
Mendy has represented France at U21 level but has yet featured for the senior side. He will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of his Kante, who is a part of France’s Euro 2016 squad.
