With the new Premier League TV deal combined with the fact Leicester City are champions, the Foxes have a lot of money to spend. New players are linked with a move to the King Power Stadium on a day-to-day basis.
Here we have compiled 11 players which have been linked with a move to the King Power Stadium. We have rated each player’s likelihood of joining Leicester this summer with 5 being highly likely and 1 being highly unlikely.
Let us know in the comments below or tweet us @ReadLeicester who you’d like to join the Foxes this summer.
Aleix Vidal - Barcelona
Spanish publication SPORT reports that Leicester are interested in signing out of favour Barcelona defender Aleix Vidal. Danny Simpson is the only right-back at the club currently and a signing of Vidal’s quality and experience would make sense.
Barcelona have recently lost Dani Alves to Juventus so it is perhaps unlikely that Vidal will leave.
Likelihood Rating: 2/5
Aleksandar Dragovic - Dynamo Kyiv
Highly-rated defender Aleksandar Dragovic is another defender who has been linked with Leicester. According to the Leicester Mercury, the Foxes have made a €15 million bid but Kyiv are demanding €22 million.
Are Leicester willing to spend that much money on a defender?
Likelihood Rating: 2/5
Adil Rami - Sevilla
French defender Adil Rami is another centre-back Leicester are interested. His age and wage demands mean a move to the King Power Stadium is very unlikely.
Likelihood Rating: 1/5
Joe Allen - Liverpool
Joe Allen has impressed for Wales in Euro 2016 and surely would want to play Champions League football next season. The Foxes have a lot of options in the middle of midfield, however, Allen’s passing ability would improve Ranieri’s side.
Allen would only cost £10 million meaning he would be a realistic signing this summer.
Likelihood Rating: 3/5
Nampalys Mendy - Nice
Nampalys Mendy’s move to the King Power Stadium is all but confirmed.
Likelihood Rating: 5/5
Robbie Brady - Norwich
After impressing at the European Championships for the Republic of Ireland, Leicester have made a £12 million bid for Norwich winger Robbie Brady, according to various reports.
Brady would certainly fit into Leicester’s philosophy and is a signing that would make perfect sense.
Likelihood Rating: 4/5
Ahmed Musa - CSKA Moscow
Leicester have been continually linked with CSKA Moscow forward Ahmed Musa. He has a release clause of £22.8 million and would be seen as Leicester’s marquee signing of the summer transfer window.
Ranieri needs a new forward and Musa would fit the bill.
Likelihood Rating: 4/5
Islam Silmani - Sporting CP
Like Musa, Islam Silmani is the other big name who has been linked with Leicester. Slimani has a £30 million release clause.
The Foxes seem keen on Musa rather than Slimani.
Likelihood Rating: 2/5
Troy Deeney - Watford
Leicester have had several bids for Watford captain Troy Deeney rejected. It has gone quiet in recent days but it is clear Leicester want to sign Deeney.
At a fee of over £30 million, I for one hope it does not go ahead.
Likelihood Rating: 3/5
Eduardo Sasha - Internacional
Brazilian forward Eduardo Sasha has attracted interest from Leicester in recent weeks. Sasha can play on either flank or behind the central striker.
His goal record for Internacional is average so it would be a strange signing.
Likelihood Rating: 1/5
Wilfried Bony - Manchester City
Wilfried Bony is another forward who has been linked with a move to Leicester.
Bony has been a flop at Manchester City and his lack of mobility and work-rate means he would not suit Leicester’s play style.
Likelihood Rating: 1/5
