New Leicester City boss Claude Puel is already looking towards the January transfer window, making current Paris Saint-Germain and former Newcastle midfielder Hatem Ben Arfa his number one target, according to a report from French outlet, RMC.
Puel, who took over the Foxes in the week, is thought to be very keen on bringing the player back to England, who had an up and down four-year spell at Newcastle United.
The 30-year-old attacking midfielder has fallen out of favour in Paris, after the influx of big summer signings and he may well be allowed to leave in the January window.
The duo know each other very well from their time at Nice, where Ben Arfa had a phenomenal season under Puel, scoring 18 times which earned him a move to Paris Saint-Germain as a result.
Ben Arfa will be free to talk to other teams in January as his current contract in Paris expires at the end of the season, however, a deal to take the player to the King Power in January may benefit all parties if it was to materialise.
