Leicester City host Southampton on Thursday evening as they look to bounce back from their weekend defeat to Burnley.
The Foxes lost 2-1 away at Turf Moor with first half goals from Kevin Long and Chris Wood enough to move Burnley nine points clear in seventh place ahead of Leicester, despite a Jamie Vardy goal late in the second half.
Claudio Puel’s side are currently without a win in two and they aim to get back to winning ways against a Southampton side that hasn’t won a league game since the beginning of February.
Southampton’s hopes of securing thei Premier League status were dented on the weekend as Chelsea came back from two goals down to win the match 3-2. The loss leaves new Saints boss Mark Hughes without a win in the league for his new club, since his appointment last month.
Leicester look to emulate another victory over the Saints after they won the reverse fixture 4-1 back in December.
Here is how they may line up:
Ben Hamer
With Kasper Schmeichel facing a late test following injury at Burnley, Hamer is in contention to start.
Danny Simpson
Quick, strong full back. Knows how to read the game well.
Harry Maquire
He has been at the heart of the defence for much of the season. Terrific season so far
Wes Morgan
Captain – leading from the back. Will be expected to start. Partnership with Maguire growing stronger every game
Ben Chilwell
Very exciting prospect. Has excelled under new management.
Riyad Mahrez
Smart, skilful player. Always on the run. Expected to be starting.
Wilfred Ndidi
Intelligent defensive minded midfielder. Protects the back four very well. Available after suspension. Likely to be named in the starting line up.
Adrien Silva
Has been impressive since his arrival. Very likely to keep his place in the starting line up.
Demarai Gray
Talented, skilful young player. Has also excelled under the new management.
Jamie Vardy
Top scorer again. Intelligent forward. Always keeps the defenders on their tops. Lethal in front of goal.
Shinji Okazaki
Strength, speed and awareness. Top qualities he brings to the Leicester attack. Partnership with Vardy is always a threat to defenders.
