Okazaki linked with Galatasaray switch
Leicester City striker Shinji Okazaki has reportedly emerged as a target for Galatasaray.
According to a report from Turkish news outlet AMK, as cited by Leicestershire Live, the Japanese forward has been lined up by Galatasaray boss Fatih Terim ahead of a possible January move.
Leicester are well-stocked with striking options and Okazaki has recently been forced to settle for a bit-part role under Claude Puel, with both Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho being the preferred options up top.
This appears to have prompted speculation linking Okazaki with a move away from the King Power Stadium, with Galatasaray emerging as a potential destination for the experienced forward.
It’s reported that talks have already been opened between the two clubs, with Super Lig outfit Galatasaray believed to be confident of tying up a deal at just €2 million.
Okazaki’s contract with Leicester reaches its expiration date at the end of the season and it seems all but likely that he will be forced to move on in the near future.
