James and Gray nearing return to fitness
Leicester City have received a boost on Tuesday with the news that Demarai Gray and Matty James are nearing returns to full fitness, according to a report from the Leicester Mercury.
Gray was stretchered off during the Foxes’ Carabao Cup victory against Wolves three weeks ago, but the ankle ailment proved to be much less serious than was feared.
Manager Claude Puel stated that Gray would begin running again during the international break, with the boss keen to see one of his premier attacking threats return to the lineup.
Receiving surgery on his Achilles tendon last season, complications resulting from the procedure have kept James on the sidelines.
The utility man has proved invaluable for Leicester at times, able to fill in at a variety of positions when called upon.
Leicester prepare to play Arsenal at the weekend, in what will be their first game since the international break.
Whether Puel will have Gray or James to choose from remains to be seen, but the revelation the pair are close to being back at their best will be news welcomed by Leicester fans.
