Leicester’s Daniel Amartey is set to miss the remainder of the season after suffering a broken ankle in the 1-1 draw at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.
The defender was stretchered off in the final minutes of Saturday’s game, and further assessment has revealed that Amartey could miss the remainder of the season.
According to ESPN, the defender will potentially miss the remainder of the season after establishing himself in the Leicester defence.
Amartey had been a key man for the Foxes since the start of the season, and had appeared in nine of ten of Leicester’s Premier League fixtures.
However, the defender will miss the remainder of the season, and will be a big miss for the Foxes.
The defender also revealed he only learned of the death of Leicester City chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha after his successful surgery on his ankle.
The chairman passed away after his helicopter crashed after the game against West Ham.
