Man United likely to meet valuation for Leicester’s Maguire
Manchester United are reportedly ready to make a move for Leicester’s Harry Maguire this January, with the Red Devils ready to meet the Foxes valuation for the central defender.
According to the Evening Standard, United are ready to meet Leicester’s valuation of the defender after failing to land him in the Summer.
The Foxes signed Maguire to a new contract after the Summer window but given United’s defensive frailties, Jose Mourinho could launch a big January move for the former Sheffield United and Hull City man.
Mourinho is reportedly set to clash with Executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward over how the transfer deals are done at Old Trafford yet again, after a frustrating Summer window.
United management thought the asking price for Maguire was inflated in the Summer after the defender showed some excellent performances in Russia with England at the World Cup.
However, with Maguire confirming his status as a top player in the Premier League this season, United could budge and pay Leicester’s asking price for the defender.
