Leicester City midfielder Adrien Silva is set for a January exit, according to reports from the Portuguese media.
The 29-year-old has been used only sparingly by Claude Puel throughout the first half of the season. He has started one game in the Premier League this term but has featured regularly in the Foxes’ Carabao Cup campaign.
Silva arrived at the King Power Stadium only last January after the late submission of paperwork delayed the summer agreement between Leicester and Sporting CP.
However, an early departure has been touted, with Portuguese news outlet Record, as translated by Sport Witness, indicating that the experienced midfielder is on his way out of the club.
It is stated that Sporting would be keen to move for Silva again but the player’s wages could prove to be problematic in any negotiations regarding a permanent switch.
The Portugal international is likely to be a man in demand come January, with Record claiming that he has potential destinations across Europe.
