Leicester City midfielder Adrien Silva is reportedly on the verge of completing a loan switch to Sporting CP.
The Portugal international has been heavily linked with a return to his former club as he continues to find regular first-team opportunities under Claude Puel hard to come by.
It is reported by A Bola, as translated by Sport Witness, that the experienced midfielder has prioritised a move to Sporting this month and is willing to rebuff advances from elsewhere to push the deal through.
Silva is currently behind the likes of Nampalys Mendy and Wilfred Ndidi in the pecking order at the King Power Stadium and a departure from the club appears to be edging ever closer.
A Bola’s report indicates that a move for the 29-year-old to join Sporting is imminent, with both clubs set to split the player’s wages until the end of the season.
Jornal de Notícias’s recent report, though, as cited by Sport Witness, claims that a deal is not quite sealed yet, with Leicester stated to be keen on receiving some sort of fee for the outgoing Silva.
