Young Leicester star Harvey Barnes is reportedly ready for his opportunity at the Foxes, after being recalled from his loan at West Brom.
The midfielder was highly rated at the Baggies, and his form in the Championship was enough to convince Claude Puel to activate his recall clause in his contract.
On his return, Barnes has revealed that he feels very good about the fact that Puel has recalled him, and said that it proves to the other youth players at Leicester that there is hope for them.
Speaking to the Leicester Mercury, Barnes said:
It is obviously a big confidence boost coming here and hearing that he rates me, knowing he has belief in me, to give me an opportunity like he did against Southampton, and I need to believe in myself as well.“It is massive. You look at the side today and there were so many young lads on the pitch.
Obviously, there is not a lot of experience but a lot of young lads who want to go out and prove themselves. They are doing that.
It is good because you know if you are doing it you will get your chance.
Some managers won’t take that approach but the manager here thinks that way.
It is not just encouraging for me but for the City under-23s as well. They know that if the manager likes them and they are doing well they are going to get that opportunity as well.
Leicester travel to Molineux to face Wolves on Saturday, and Barnes will be looking to do well against his former loan side’s arch-rivals.
