Youri Tielemans’ agent has insisted that the player is “motivated” to prove his worth in a Leicester City shirt.
The Belgian international completed a late move to the King Power Stadium on the final day of the January transfer window.
After netting five goals for Monaco in Ligue 1 this season, Leonardo Jardim allowed the midfielder to leave the club on a short-term loan deal, with Leicester pouncing at this opportunity.
The deal saw Adrien Silva move the other way, also on a temporary basis, after the Portuguese international found game time hard to come by under Foxes boss Claude Puel.
Peter Smeets, who represents Tielemans, recently discussed the move and spoke of his client’s determination to succeed upon his first ventures in the Premier League.
Speaking to France Football, as translated by Sport Witness, the agent said:
When a new opportunity arises, you need to listen to it. A great player can’t be scared about making decisions. It’s a new challenge that motivates him, but he remains a Monaco player.
The former RSC Anderlecht man will be desperate to start in Leicester’s upcoming Premier League fixture against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
