Real Betis considering summer Slimani swoop
Real Betis are considering a swoop for Leicester City striker Islam Slimani at the end of the season.
According to Calcio Mercato, Real Betis attempted to sign Slimani in January, but failed to land the forward before the end of the transfer window.
Slimani is currently on loan to Fenerbahce in Turkey and has managed to score three goals in all competitions so far this season for the Turkish giants.
The striker was let go last summer by Leicester, on loan, after he fell down the pecking order under Claude Puel. Jamie Vardy, Shinji Okazaki and Kelechi Iheanacho were all finding themselves ahead of him when it came to team selections.
Real Betis are now hoping that they can take advantage of this in the summer and secure a deal to sign the Algerian international to bolster their squad.
Slimani scored 57 goals in 109 games for Sporting Lisbon before his move to Leicester in 2016.
