Leicester City are ready to fight to keep playmaker James Maddison at the King Power Stadium.
As reported on the Mirror, the midfielder’s impressive performances this season are attracting interest in him, especially from fellow Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.
However, the Foxes are eager to keep Maddison and it is understood that they are preparing a new deal for the Englishman.
The club is planning to give him an improved weekly wage and want to extend his deal beyond 2023.
The Foxes took similar action when centre-back Harry Maguire was being pursued by Manchester United last summer after the world cup.
The former Norwich City man has found the net five times in the league this season and has also registered four assists.
The 22-year-old has become a fan favourite since his £24m move last summer and the club see his a crucial part of their plans for the future.
