Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has urged Unai Emery to consider Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell in his search for defensive reinforcements.
Frimpong, who made 16 appearances for the Gunners from 2011 to 2013, went to Twitter on Sunday afternoon to share his views whilst Chilwell was representing Leicester against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium:
Twitter: Arsenal should buy chilwell (@IAMFRIMPONG26)
Aged just 22, Chilwell has risen through the ranks at the King Power Stadium and has now cemented his first-choice status under Claude Puel, with many considering him as one of the top-flight’s best in his position.
Chilwell’s contract with the Foxes already runs until 2024, with Leicester looking to keep hold of their best players.
The young star is having a phenomenal season though and is bound to be attracting plenty of interest, including that of England manager Gareth Southgate, who will be planning for EURO 2020 and, of course, next summer’s Nations League Finals.
