Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City are set to rival Tottenham in the race to sign Elif Elmas from Turkish side Fenerbahce.
According to a report from TEAMtalk, Rodgers has identified the youngster as a summer target.
A host of clubs, including Spurs, have been linked with the Fenerbahce player, but Rodgers is hoping to lure him to the King Power at the end of the season.
Elmas is highly rated in Turkey and is already believed to be valued at around £30 million.
The report describes Elmas as one of the best young midfielders in Europe, so Leicester will be forced to put their hands in their pockets if they want to see off the competition for his services.
Rodgers will no doubt be looking to make a splash in the market this summer, with the club boasting big ambitions with the former Celtic boss at the helm.
Aston Villa’s John McGinn has also recently emerged as a potential midfield target for the Foxes.
