Tielemans thanks “nice guy” Vardy for assist
On-loan midfielder Youri Tielemans has praised Leicester striker Jamie Vardy for his unselfishness against Fulham last weekend, as reported on the Leicester Mercury.
The Englishman was through on goal but passed the ball to Tielemans, who calmly slotted the ball into the empty net.
The Foxes went on to win the match 3-1, with Vardy getting his name on the scoresheet twice.
When speaking about Vardy, Tielemans said:
I know he’s not a selfish guy. I was there and he gave the pass perfectly, so I had to finish it and I thanked him at the moment and he’s a really nice guy.
It was really good to be rewarded with a win today and we will keep improving as the weeks come, we will see. I felt comfortable in the first half especially.
The Belgian international midfielder has put in some impressive performances since joining the Foxes and January and he will be hoping for more of the same until the end of the season.
