After months of rumours about his future, it has been confirmed that Leicester head of recruitment Eduardo Macia is to leave the club this Friday, according to Sky Sports.
Macia spent two years at the King Power Stadium, but will now leave after the appointment of Brendan Rodgers as Leicester City manager.
Lee Congerton could be set to take over the role, with Congerton working with Rodgers at Celtic and being rumoured to be joining him at the Foxes.
There had been rumoured interest from elsewhere for Congerton, notably from Anderlecht and two MLS sides, but it is likely he will now reunite with Rodgers at Leicester City.
Congerton first worked with Rodgers at Chelsea, and was notable at Celtic for bringing in Odsonne Edouard, Timothy Weah, and Oliver Ntcham to Celtic Park.
Leicester have said that Macia has left the club to “pursue new opportunities”, with rumours circulating that he could be set to move to Bordeaux.
