Rafa Benitez has praised Leicester City ahead of Newcastle’s trip to the King Power Stadium tonight.

The Magpies face the in-form Foxes under the floodlights, with new manager Brendan Rodgers making a brilliant start to life as manager of the club.

As quoted on the Leicester Mercury, Benitez said:

They are a good team and were before Brendan Rodgers got there. They have some very good young players, as well as experience with (Jamie) Vardy and (Wes) Morgan.

Now they have more confidence and it will be tough for us.

Leicester are currently seventh in the Premier League and they know that a win will temporarily lift them three points ahead of eighth-placed Wolves.

Striker Vardy is coming into the game in great form after scoring twice in City’s 4-1 victory over Huddersfield last weekend.
