Burnley defender James Tarkowski is being linked with a move to former Premier League champions Leicester City, according to the Daily Mail, as cited on Sky Sports.
This move could happen if Harry Maguire were to leave the Foxes in the summer, as it’s claimed that Brendan Rodgers views Tarkowski as a potential replacement.
Tarkowski made 35 appearances in the Premier League this season, scoring three goals. Similarly, Harry Maguire has made 31 appearances, scoring three times in the process.
The Clarets centre-back successfully had seven clean sheets this season, however, this was four less than last season’s amount.
It was during that season where he was in the Burnley side that was tipped for relegation, despite this making it into Europa League qualifying rounds where they were unfortunately eliminated by Greek giants Olympiakos.
His defensive ability has earned him a call into Gareth Southgate’s England squad, where he has made two appearances for the Three Lions, narrowly missing out of the World Cup squad to Maguire himself.
