Leicester City are hoping to secure a deal to sign Monaco midfielder Youri Tielemans for a fee in the region of €45m.
According to Calcio Mercato, Leicester want Monaco to lower their asking price to €45m in order for the club to sign him on a permanent basis.
Tielemans joined Leicester on loan from Monaco in January and thrived during the second-half of the season under the management of Brendan Rodgers, forming a good partnership in midfield with James Maddison.
The 22-year-old made 13 Premier League appearances for Leicester in midfield, scoring three and assisting four as he caught the eye for the Foxes.
He has also attracted attention from other Premier League clubs, with Champions League finalists Tottenham and Manchester United both reportedly interested in beating Leicester to striking a deal for Tielemans.
Leicester will be hoping that his short stint with the club convinces him to return to the King Power next season.
