Leicester closing in on Tielemans deal
Leicester City are closing in on a deal to sign AS Monaco midfielder Youri Tielemans on a permanent deal.
According to The Telegraph, Leicester are in talks with Monaco and making progress as they look to snap him up this summer.
The report claims that Monaco are demanding a fee in the region of £40m, with Leicester hopeful of ironing out a deal.
Brendan Rodgers is eager to get Tielemans in after he impressed whilst on loan to the club last season. Tielemans initially joined on loan in the January transfer window and caught the eye with his performances in midfield for Leicester in the Premier League.
The report also claims that Rodgers has been told that he will be given major funds to work with in the transfer window as he looks to prepare a squad capable of challenging for a European place, having finished in the top 10 last season.
