Celtic star Callum McGregor is ready to leave his current side to reunite with Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City, according to Football Insider.
The report suggests that the 26-year-old is keen on a move to the King Power Stadium, with the Foxes ready to start the bidding for the Scot at £15 million.
Leicester boss Rodgers is keen on bringing McGregor to the club ahead of the new season, however, after spending big money on Youri Tielemans and Ayoze Perez, a potential move could be dependent on Harry Maguire’s possible move to Manchester United.
McGregor flourished under the Northern Irishman during a three-year relationship at Celtic Park, becoming one of the best performers in the Scottish Premiership.
The versatile midfielder has turned out 224 times for his boyhood club since turning professional in 2013, and McGregor may not be adding many more appearances to that tally if Leicester firm up their interest in the coming weeks.
Four more Scottish Premiership stars Leicester could target
If Maguire departs, Rodgers could go after Aberdeen defender McKenna. The Scot is arguably the best player in the division outside of the top two and could be available for a relatively cheap fee.
Wide man Forrest is another player Rodgers knows well from his time at Celtic Park. The Scotland international has been tipped to make the move to the Premier League in the coming years, so Leicester may well decide to act on the winger’s situation soon.
Attacking right-back Tavernier excelled for Rangers last season and could be another player Rodgers decides to look at.
Another Celtic star, Australian international Rogic has been briefly linked with a move to the King Power Stadium, so Rodgers could urge Leicester officials to firm up their interest in the player.
