Leicester City have reportedly joined the race to sign Sampdoria midfielder Dennis Praet, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The report suggests that the Foxes have joined La Liga side Valencia in an attempt to sign the Belgian.
Arsenal have also been heavily linked with a move for the player, with the Gunners having a double bid for Praet and Sampdoria teammate Joachim Andersen rejected in recent weeks.
The 25-year-old has been a key member of the Sampdoria side since joining from Anderlecht in 2016 and has recently earnt a senior national call-up due to his impressive displays.
Praet has turned out over 100 times for the Serie A side and appears to suit Brendan Rodgers’ style of play.
The Belgian has predominantly been used as a ball-playing central midfielder but can also ply his trade further forward in an advanced role.
The Foxes have already brought in Youri Tielemans in a club-record deal, with Rodgers thought to be keen on adding to his midfield options ahead of the new season.
