Leicester keen on Linfield midfielder Charlie Allen
Leicester City are reportedly interested in Linfield midfielder Charlie Allen, according to the Belfast Telegraph, cited by HITC.
The report suggests that the Foxes are just one of eight British giants tracking the highly-rated 15-year-old.
Scottish heavyweights Celtic and Rangers, along with Championship giants Leeds United are three other sides tracking the teenager.
Meanwhile, Leicester’s Premier League rivals Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham are also keen on the player.
Allen has caught the eye of all the interested parties with his excellent progression in Northern Ireland, with Linfield boss David Healy handing the 15-year-old a first-team debut back in April.
The talented midfielder has also been named in Linfield’s Champions League squad for their qualifier against Norwegian side Rosenborg, which could see Allen become the youngster Brit to feature in the competition.
Allen doesn’t turn 16 until November, and if the teenager continues to impress, Leicester could decide to firm up their interest in the coming weeks in a bid to beat the seven other British sides to the player’s signature.
