Harry Maguire has told club officials at Leicester City that he wants a move to either Manchester City or Manchester United if either club matches the Foxes’ valuation of the defender, as per a report from John Percy of the Telegraph.

Percy states that whilst Maguire hasn’t officially handed in a transfer request, he has made it known that he would like to move to one of the Manchester clubs if either are willing to make an acceptable offer for him and that Leicester have agreed to let him leave if their valuation is met.

The 26-year-old joined Leicester for an initial £12 million fee, potentially rising to £17 million, back in 2017 and in the two years since, he’s gone on to establish himself as a regular starter for the England national team.

Maguire has assured Leicester that he’ll continue to act professionally but the club now knows that if City or United are willing to pay around £80m, then he would like the opportunity to move to one of the Manchester clubs.
