With the report claiming that Leicester have been priced out of a move for Tarkowski, due to Burnley wanting over £40m, it seems like a good idea for the club to explore the foreign markets.
Leicester are said to be looking into the possibility of signing a centre-back on loan, with Demiral clearly a target they have in mind.
Would he be the ideal signing?
Yes. He recently joined Italian champions Juventus from Sassuolo for €13m, which suggests that he impressed in the Serie A last season.
Demiral was given a WhoScored rating of 7.11/10 for his performances in the Serie A, scoring twice in 14 league appearances for Sassuolo in the second-half of the campaign.
The 21-year-old averaged 1.7 tackles per game and 1.4 interceptions per game in the Serie A, which indicates that he was consistent with his defensive contributions.
If Leicester can bring him in on loan, and avoid splashing out on a permanent deal, Demiral would be the ideal signing for Brendan Rodgers.
