Leicester City finished strong to come from behind and earn a point as they drew 1-1 with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The home side started the game on top, with relentless attacks smothering Leicester.
Chelsea went ahead after a Wilfred Ndidi took to long on the ball as Mason Mount pounced to get the ball just outside the Leicester box and finished well past Kasper Schmeichel.
Leicester were able to regroup after the goal and started to get more comfortable on the ball. However they couldn’t find a way to goal as the first half came to a close.
The second half Leicester were a different animal. Playing with the aggression the had lacked in the first half and the in game against Wolves last weekend.
James Maddison came alive and started to cause problems for the Chelsea defence.
It was from a Maddison delivery that gave Leicester the equaliser. His excellent ball from a corner was matched by a equally good header from Ndidi to power it into the net.
Leicester had a few chances after the goal to score a winner, the best of which falling to Maddison who blasted the ball over the bar from six-yards out.
Here’s how we rated the Leicester players:
Kasper Schmeichel - 6.5
Schmeichel didn’t have to make too many saves, but made a couple of good stops before Chelsea took the lead.
Ricardo Pereira - 7
Ricardo was Leicester’s most threatening player in the first half and put a great ball into the box in the dying stages that should have be capitalised on.
Jonny Evans - 7
Evans had a very solid game at the back, he dealt with the threat of both Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham well.
Caglar Soyuncu - 7
Soyuncu had another good performance. He defended well and was confident in bringing the ball out the back.
Christian Fuchs - 6.5
Fuchs came into the side due to Chilwell’s injury and had a pretty good game. His passing was sloppy at times, but did very well in defence.
Wilfred Ndidi - 7.5
Ndidi redeemed his error which lead to the opener with his header to earn the point for his side. After his mistake he was excellent.
Hamza Choudhury - 6.5
Choudhury pressed well and played with his usual intensity.
Youri Tielemans - 6.5
Tielemans was in the wars a lot and won a lot of fouls. But, he didn’t have his best game, there was a couple of occasions were he maybe didn’t chose the right option.
Ayoze Perez - 6
Perez was fairly quiet, he played a few nice passes but was too effective throughout the game.
Jamie Vardy - 6.5
Vardy pressed well, but didn’t get many chances. He shot his best chance just wide of the target from a tough angle.
James Maddison - 7.5
Maddison really came into the game in the second half. He got on the ball a lot more often and started causing issues for the Chelsea defence. He couldn’t quite find the killer ball through to Vardy, but his delivery from the corner for the goal was very good.
Dennis Praet - 6.5
Praet looked tidy on the ball after coming on for Choudhury. He played some nice passes and also did well in winning possession back.
