A superb strike from James Maddison secured an excellent comeback 2-1 win for Leicester City in a thrilling encounter against Tottenham Hotspur.
The hosts had gone a goal down not long after they had one of their own disallowed through VAR.
A brilliant improvised finish from Spurs captain Harry Kane put the visitors in front.
Leicester had shown some exciting flashes of well executed attacking play, creating a few good chances before the break.
The Foxes continued to pile on the pressure as the second-half began and it seemed as Spurs had scored a second against the run of play.
However, it was Mauricio Pochettino’s side this time that suffered from the intervention of VAR. Heung-Min Son was ruled to be offside in the build-up to Serge Aurier’s goal, in what was a very tight decision.
Leicester found their way back into the game as full-back Ricardo Pereira arrived late into the box to bring his side level.
Then in the 85th minute a brilliant long range strike from Maddison curved into the corner of the Spurs net to get the home fans in King Power stadium on their feet.
Here’s how we rated the Leicester players:
Kasper Schmeichel - 7
Commanded his area well throughout and distributed well. There wasn’t much he could have done to stop Kane’s finish.
Ricardo Pereira - 8
Ricardo played well at the back and broke forward often to kick-start attacks. He finished his chance well to bring Leicester back into the game.
Jonny Evans - 8
Evans was always in control at the back and was always where he needed to be.
Caglar Soyuncu - 8.5
Soyuncu had another big game to add to his great start to the season. He stopped everything coming his way and played out of the back excellently.
Ben Chilwell - 7
Chilwell did a pretty good job defensively, but didn’t seem to kick into top gear going forwards.
Wilfred Ndidi - 7.5
Once again tackled and broke up play very well. He did seem to lose Erik Lamela a few times in the first half, allowing the Argentine possession in dangerous areas.
Youri Tielemans - 8
Tielemans put in a classy performance. Showing he works best in this formation, partnered with Maddison. The Belgian controlled the game in midfield.
James Maddison - 9
Maddison was a constant threat for the Spurs defence to handle and put together an impressive highlight reel of quick feet and intricate passes. His winning goal was much deserved and he took it in style.
Ayoze Perez - 7
Perez had one of his best displays since signing for Leicester in the summer. It looks like he is starting to fit into his role in the side and working better alongside his new teammates.
Harvey Barnes - 7
Barnes created a few good chances and his pace was impressive. Although he was also sloppy in possession on a few occasions.
Jamie Vardy - 8
Vardy gave 100 percent and pressed with intensity throughout. He got into some good goal scoring positions where a better first touch could have resulted in goal. He did get the assist for Ricardo’s goal.
Subs: Dennis Praet - 7
Came of the bench and did a decent job in winning the ball back and tidying up possession.
Demarai Gray - N/a
Was a late substitute.
Hamza Choudhury - N/a
