Leicester City move up to second place in the Premier League and with a league record 9-0 away win over Southampton.
The win is also a joint record for the biggest in Premier League history home or away.
The scoring began as Ben Chilwell followed up a rebound of a Harvey Barnes shot to open the scoring.
Following the goal VAR ruled that a foul by Ryan Bertrand in the build-up was worthy of a red card after the Southampton defender made a high tackle on Ayoze Perez.
After the red card it was total domaination from Brendan Rodgers men. Youri Tielemans quickly adding a second.
The Foxes never stopped putting the ball in the back of the net.
A hat-rick for both Perez, who was without a goal yet this season coming into the game, and for Jamie Vardy.
The other goal of the game was a excellently taken free-kick by James Maddison.
The landslide victory is a statement of intent by Leicester, they are looking like they will be challenging for a top-four finish this season.
Here is how we rated the Leicester players:
Kasper Schmeichel - 7.5
Wasn’t called into action often at all, but made a couple of good stops when Southampton did manage a counter.
Ricardo Pereira - 8
In a game in which Leicester scored nine goals it is surprising Ricardo wasn’t involved in any of them. The right-back still did a great job defensively and put the ball into dangerous areas.
Jonny Evans - 8.5
Evans was always in position to put a stop to any threat on the counter from the Saints. Was unlucky to poke in a goal himself.
Caglar Soyuncu - 8
Soyuncu was just as solid as Evans at the back. He did play a could of loose passes out from the back near the start of the game, but got more comfortable as the game went on.
Ben Chilwell - 9
Chilwell put in his best performance of the season. A goal and two assists for the left-back and was a constant threat bombing down the left wing.
Wilfred Ndidi - 8.5
Ndidi was a tackling machine once again in the Leicester midfield. He did play a few poor passes but made up for it with a excellent defensive display.
Youri Tielemans - 8.5
Tielemans took his goal well and controlled the game from the midfield.
James Maddison - 8.5
Maddison was always looking to create chances and it was surprising he didn’t get involved in the goals more than he did. Another superb strike from a free-kick for his goal.
Ayoze Perez - 10
Perez’s hat-rick was his first three goals in a Leicester shirt and they were all brilliantly finished. He grew in confidence after his first goal. Rodgers will be hoping there is more of this to come.
Harvey Barnes 8.5
Barnes also stepped his game up and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet.
Jamie Vardy - 10
Vardy scored his ninth league goal of the season to cap of his hat-rick and Leicester’s ninth of the game. Supreme performance from the veteran forward.
Subs: Marc Albrighton - N/a
Was a late substitute.
Demarai Gray - N/a
Was a late substitute.
