Leicester City move up to second in the Premier League table after a 2-0 win over Arsenal at the King Power Stadium.

The win continues Leicester’s best ever start to a season in the top flight and puts them nine points ahead of fifth place as their quest for Champion’s League football rolls on.

It was an even contest as the sides went into the break at half-time, Arsenal maybe even creating the better chances of the two sides in the opening half.

But as the second-half began, Leicester looked the sharper team. Wilfred Ndidi had the best chance in the game, but sent the ball crashing into the crossbar from the penalty spot.

The opener once again came from Jamie Vardy, who capped off a wonderful team goal from City.

It was Vardy who got the assist for Leicester’s second, laying the ball off to James Maddison who drilled a superb finish from the edge of the box into the bottom corner.

Leicester weren’t really troubled after the goals and were able to ride the game out for a big win in their challenge for European football.
