Plenty of Leicester City fans have hit back at Robbie Savage after he claimed that the club doesn’t hold a place in his heart due to the way he left.

Speaking on BT Sport’s broadcast of Leicester vs Chelsea at the weekend, Savage brutally dismissed a suggestion the club was special to him.

Savage made 204 appearances for the Foxes between 1997 and 2001, with the League Cup won in 1999 his only ever trophy as a professional.

After leaving Leicester, the Welshman returned on a number of occasions and disrespected the home fans, therefore making things “sour” which he eludes to in the video clip.

Kissing the Birmingham City badge after they scored and bowing to the Derby County faithful are the two most notable events amongst fans.

Making such honest admissions on live TV will always come with backlash, and these supporters haven’t responded well to Savage’s claims…

Have Savage's comments changed your opinion on him?
