Leicester joined in the race to sign Barcelona’s Jean-Clair Todibo
Leicester City have been joined in their pursuit of Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo by Watford, according to Mundo Deportvio.
Everton and Wolves have also shown an interest in the talented 20-year-old, who has reportedly been told that he can leave Catalan giants this summer.
The Foxes interest in Todibo is very much in its infancy with no bid thought to have been tabled as of yet. However, Brendan Rodgers is certainly looking towards building a squad for the future and the French youngster fits the bill.
A Barcelona player since 2019, Todibo arrived at the Camp Nou in 2019 from Toulouse FC, although the 6’3 youngster has only made five appearances and could be one of many on their way out as new manager Ronald Koeman re-shapes his new squad.
Todibo spent part of the 2019/20 season on loan at Schalke, where he made 10 appearances.
The France Under-20 international promises to have a bright future in the game and could be considered a viable long-term replacement for Jonny Evans.
