Leicester City have potentially received another boost ahead of their clash with Liverpool, with both Fabinho and Thiago not training on Tuesday, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The two sides meet in a mouthwatering Premier League encounter on Sunday evening, with the Foxes hoping to stay top of the table.

Liverpool have a host of injury problems going into the game, with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez definite absentees, and Mohamed Salah also possibly missing out.

Fabinho and Thiago have been missing in recent weeks, too, and while the Reds will hope to have them back this weekend, neither trained on Tuesday.

Fabinho and Thiago are two of the best players in Europe in their positions, with the former a superb destroyer in the middle of the park and the latter a world-class playmaker.

It is likely that Fabinho will be used at centre-back if he is fit, however, but if he misses out, Joel Matip will be the only established player available in that position.

That could mean youngsters Rhys Williams or Nathaniel Phillips are in contention, acting as a big positive for Leicester, and particularly Jamie Vardy.

Brendan Rodgers would love to return to Anfield and get a win on Sunday – the Foxes could have a great chance, given the current woes the Premier League champions are suffering.
